Now i am also a Permaculture Designer.
I just finished the PDC: Permaculture Design Certificate at Panyaproject in Thailand.I did it because i believe in this Philosophy. We work with nature, and not against nature. As an Ayurvedic therapist, i want to plant and eat organic. I want to make a better world, to help to clean and not make more pollution. I want to respect the animals and my surroundings.
The Permaculture course is designed to give participants inspiration and tools to become an ambassador of positive change in the world. The aim is to evolve not only in our social environment but also in the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual realms.
Permaculture is a system of agricultural and social design principles centered on simulating or directly utilizing the patterns and features observed in natural ecosystems. Permaculture was developed, and the term coined by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in 1978. It has many branches that include but are not limited to ecological design, ecological engineering, environmental design, construction and integrated water resources management that develops sustainable architecture, and regenerative and self-maintained habitat and agricultural systems modeled from natural ecosystems.
Mollison has said: "Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and thoughtless labor; and of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single product system."
